However, to accomplish this sort of leadership within the framework of centuries-old unequal north/south relationship, it would take a new crop of African men and women who have a thorough understanding of the systemic obstacles on the one hand and the multifarious continental challenges (systemic and unit as it were), on the other, coupled with the experience of our predecessors, to be able to proffer a constructive approach in providing a generous leadership with the highest standard based on vision, integrity and commitment.
