"""The Sculptor Who Hides and Seeks"" is a fairy tale centered on the theme of intangible cultural heritage. The story follows the time-traveling Dandelion Fairy as a connecting thread, weaving together twelve original fairy tales, each dedicated to one of the Chinese zodiac animals. Breaking away from conventional impressions of the zodiac, the book creates vivid and unique portrayals for each animal sign:

Rat (Zi): a disheveled but artistically devoted sculptor

Ox (Chou, A-Dong): who turns into an ox to save his sister and remains steadfast to his promise

Tiger (Yin): who becomes the king of the forest after having the character ""king"" (王) painted on his forehead

Rabbit (Mao): whose red eyes are mistaken for signs of sorrow, leading him to master the art of the ""cunning rabbit's three burrows""

Dragon (Chen, Wu Long): naive and mischievous, who delights in punishing the greedy

Snake (Si): who loses her limbs and wings but, out of misfortune, gains optimism and a new purpose

Horse (Wu, Wei Wu): small in stature yet brave enough to save his entire herd

Goat (Wei): who grows a goatee because of a misunderstanding with children

Monkey (Shen, A-Ji): who upholds justice when the tiger is away

Rooster (You, You Bo): who replaces the cat as the guardian of the sun

Dog (Xu, Alaska): who expresses loyalty and affection by sticking out his tongue

Pig (Hai, Pearl): who digs in the earth in search of life's answers

Each story is ingeniously crafted and vividly told, blending the distinctive traits of the zodiac animals with whimsical adventure, making for a delightfully engaging read.
