This book describes the global demographics of centenarians through discussing the compression of morbidity hypotheses, as well as the role of genetics, epigenetics and environmental factors in the extreme limits of human lifespan. It examines all domains of health and well-being of this elite group including physical function, the concept of frailty and resilience, and the prevalence and incidence of major diseases.
