Banksia Bay's annual dog show should be a cheerful weekend of polished trophies, pampered pooches and friendly competition.

Instead, a trophy disappears, anonymous threats begin targeting a senior judge, and tensions between the competitors are running almost as high as the dogs' excitement.

Then five-time Best in Show champion Victoria Ashcroft is found dead inside the Show Pavilion.

With the dog show suddenly a crime scene, café owner Gabby Wren finds herself drawn into another mystery - accompanied, as always, by Moose, her enormous and enthusiastically curious Malamute.
