The first edition of this book sold several copies. On April 13 its second edition will be available.

The first short chapter gives readers a glimpse of Rhetta, a community fund raiser, and Rudolf Marcher (Rudy), a mega millionaire, who first meet face-to-face in November of 2020 to discuss her research. He stuns her with his weirdness and off-kilter generosity while failing to even use direct eye contact. She had been working for months to gather data regarding causes to help certain pockets of society. Rudy's wife, Dena, is a philanthropist, brilliant, and ill but optimistic.

Eight months before during the exact day in March 2020 when WHO deems the Covid as dangerous, the reader meets college university characters Mary Hawkings, a faculty librarian, and Dr. Michael Merrick, a social psychology professor. The college attempts to enforce measures that challenge the ego-driven and the technologically slow staff.

This very dear original story is quick to dig into each character's unique and quirky depth, concerns, and flaws. Faculty are bumping heads while managing unwanted changes inside their wobbling ivory tower existence. Adapting awkwardly, come summer, Hawkings and Merrick face bumpier roads ahead once they agree to share an August ten-hour drive up to the Pacific Northwest - the location of his sabbatical site which just happens to be near her short, three-day span location of a reunion. An incorrect detour choice forces an end to those plans. They address two rough-edged travelers and all reluctantly face themselves. The process of acculturation and fate - and all that entertains from the unknown - lurks thickly.

One particularly surreal area speaks to the sociologist who meets a higher level of wanting to scientifically test, but it is with his demons - he cannot define what is happening nor form either a theory or hypothesis about its surrealness to scientifically study it. He maintains this secret from the others while all are forced to face lack, creativity, and growth.

The reader is invited to Chapter Seven where there's a greater light, dismissing emotional bankruptcy -- and offers an intriguing new community. The fundraiser and the mega rich had been managing the course using their own strategies and challenges.

This novella's author entertained and learned and grew while attempting to reach out to both Young Adults and Mature Reluctant Readers. High School to Senior Hood will revere the tale's "detouristing" stye.

Hashtags for this deeply soulful tale would produce at least sixteen, but the three main genres are #adventure, #fantasy, #mystery. The remaining others are: #pandemic2020 #covidstories #beauticians #spirit #soul #parapsychology #megarich #fundraising #communitybuilding #psychology, #sociology #research #lilbrarians #artists #futurelong-term-care #communityorganizers #meteoritefiction #lowermiddleclass #philanthrophy #musicsurreal #rreluctantreaders #youngadult
