Katharine Rigas-Vardos just wants to get lucky. As the current Medusa, she spends a lot of time alone, but for a change, she'd like to meet a one-night-stand kind of man at a friend's party.

One night with the sexy brunette leaves him wanting more, except the P.I. only knows her name. He tracks her down and arrives in time to find a man breaking into her house. After saving her from the Harvester's attempt to murder her, Hunter is shocked to discover that old myths are true. He wants to keep Kat safe at his place, and even though she's unhappy about putting him in the crosshairs of the men hunting her, she must trust he'll protect her.

Spending time with the hot P.I. does make Kat think about another night or two. Until one reckless move puts them back on the Harvesters' radar and they're forced to skip town to evade another attack.

On the run, Kat decides she's had enough...enough of her family being hunted by the Harvesters, enough of this millenia-old curse. And she wants more of Hunter, so she wants the curse gone. The only way she can think to do that is by taking the fight to Athena. Hunter hates the idea, though he loves the idea of forever with Kat, so he may have to agree, but what chance do they have against a Goddess?
