The conference contained in this text covers developments, both experimental and theoretical, in the study of hadron spectroscopy. It focuses on the spectroscopy, properties, theories and models of: light-quark messons, heavy-quark mesons and baryons, exotic states (glueballs and hybid mesons), and future facilities for their continued study. Special features include: the session on future facilities, sessions on scalar-isoscalar mesons and the evidence for glueball states, results on charmed mesons from collaborations at CLEO and SLAC, and results on hadrons with b quarks from experiments at CERN (LEP) and Fermilab.
