La manipulation des compétitions sportives est une notion apparue au sein du mouvement sportif et des États avec l’émergence du marché mondial des paris sportifs. Si un instrument juridique international a été élaboré spécifiquement pour cette problématique d’intégrité sportive, il n’existe pas de concept juridique clairement identifié. Persiste alors un flou juridique tenant à son contenu et son périmètre. Plusieurs critères cumulatifs et complémentaires constitutifs de ladite tricherie sportive pourraient faciliter sa qualification.Une lutte nationale est indispensable puisque la manipulation des compétitions sportives porte atteinte aux valeurs fondamentales du sport, mais aussi à l’ordre public et des criminels peuvent être impliqués ou des paris misés. L’organisation matérielle et structurelle de cette lutte est singulière en France. Il existe des règles de prévention, de détection et des sanctions en lien direct ou indirect avec la tricherie sportive. Des acteurs hétéroclites, à l’instar des organisations sportives, des autorités publiques et des opérateurs de paris, se structurent afin de créer de nouveaux modes de coopération.Néanmoins, bien qu’elle soit avancée, la lutte française contre la manipulation des compétitions sportives demeure perfectible.----------------------------------Manipulation of sports competitions : conceptualization essay and legal framework in French LawThe manipulation of sports competitions is a notion that emerged within the sports movement and states with the emergence of the global sports betting market. White an international legal instrument has been developed specifically for this issue of sports integrity, there is no clearly identified legal concept. There then persists a legal vagueness relating to its content and scope. Severa! additional and specific criteria constituting said sports cheating could facilitate its qualification.A national fight is essential since the manipulation of sports competitions undermines the fundamental values of sport, but also public order and criminals can be involved or bets placed. The material and structural organization of this struggle is unique in France. There are rules of prevention, detection and sanctions direct/y or indirect/y related to sports cheating. Disparate actors, such as sports organisations, public authorities and betting operators, are structuring themselves in order to create new modes of cooperation.
