Living With The Himalayan Masters is a book that accounts in a detailed fashion Swami Rama's spiritual journey in the Himalayas and his time with the sages of the great region. It is a story about enlightenment, the wonder of a journey, and the pursuit of spiritual enlightenment.
Swami Rama was blessed with a childhood and upbringing that most people in the world can only hope and dream about. He spent his vital developmental years in the company of holy sages, who guided his young mind towards a principled direction. He recalls his time spent in the monastery and caves of the Himalayas, living and learning in the same breath. He talks of the great gurus who shaped his spiritual quest, of great individuals such as Baba Bengali and Gudari Baba who were already at the peak of enlightenment but still took the time to impart wisdom to a young Swami Rama.
Living With The Himalayan Masters is a remarkable story of a great man with great ideals and his humble upbringings in one of the most peaceful places in the world. Living atop the mighty Himalayas with heightened minds who could see through the delusions of the common life, worked wonders in shaping a mind that was ready to be enlightened. This books was published by Manjul Publication in 2012 and is available in paperback.
