This book was written with teenagers in mind. Initially it was entitled Thirteen, highlighting 13 of the author's accidents. However, upon reflection there were many more than that so, the title changed to Mangotoofa (man go too far).
The book is fast paced, as each short story segues into the next, moving through the first memories to the first accidents right up to the present day.
Don't mention the Ouija board, but when that "toy" came out of Parker Brothers Inc. (around 1966), and made its way up to Traverse City, the author's young life began to cascade very rapidly. Of course there is no proof of its effects, but one thing is certain, well before the teen years could arrive the neighborhood was already being exposed to sex and drugs and rock and roll. The spiritual darkness got worse and worse, and the accidents increased, as did the sinful and dangerous activities. Barely surviving the teen years, Daniel joined the U.S. Navy to escape the darkness and became a world traveler.
Follow along as the thought of certain destruction leads him to a search for eternal salvation and a completely transformed life.
The hope for this book is that many people, young and old alike, will enjoy this read; and along the way examine their own lives to discover what true treasure is, before the darkness overwhelms them.
