Paleolithic Man and the Nile-Faiyum Divide

"Paleolithic Man and the Nile-Faiyum Divide" is a seminal scientific study exploring the prehistoric landscape and human presence in Egypt during the Pliocene and Pleistocene epochs. This work examines the geological and archaeological evidence found within the Nile Valley and the Faiyum depression, providing a detailed analysis of the region's physical evolution. It explores how climatic shifts and geographical changes influenced the environment and the early inhabitants of the area.

The text focuses on the stratigraphic evidence of Paleolithic man, mapping the relationship between geological formations and the tools or traces left by prehistoric societies. By bridging the gap between geology and anthropology, the study offers profound insights into the ancient history of northeastern Africa. This volume remains an essential reference for those interested in the deep history of Egypt, the development of early human cultures, and the geological processes that shaped one of the world's most significant river systems. It serves as a comprehensive guide to understanding the intersection of earth sciences and the dawn of humanity in the Nile basin.
