SATAN'S STRATAGEM

An archaeology student in Bohemia narrowly escapes a mysterious death and is found in traumatic shock. Her bloodstained clothing and mysterious magical symbols that someone painted on her body in blood indicate that this is no ordinary criminal case. Dr Runa, an expert on satanic cults and a specialist in the occult, is asked to help with the investigation. The search leads him to the former Benedictine monastery in Podlažice, where the attacked girl, along with other students and teachers, was working at an archaeological excavation site. While the police discover other victims with unknown symbols on their bodies, Runa discovers that the same magical signs were also found on recently discovered graves in the middle of the monastery, in places where women and children were buried instead of monks. However, the strict regulations of the Benedictine Order forbade this. Who violated these rules and why? Moreover, all the buried bodies bear traces of violence. Are they victims of a medieval murderous satanic cult? Are their deaths, which occurred seven hundred years ago, connected to the current series of ritual murders?
