Wound healing is an intricate process in which the tissue repair itself after injury. It is a process that involves the activation of intercellular pathways, coordination of tissue integrity and homeostasis. Depending on the nature and depth of the injury, the wound healing can be classified. The acute wound is a breakdown of the integrity of the soft-tissue envelope surrounding any portion of the body.
