The Birth of Heresy

Before he was the Heretic King who remade Egypt, he was just a second son trying to survive the wrath of an unseen God.
Amenhotep's early years were spent playing in the shadow of the royal palace and the temples of thebes. He looked up to his very intelligent older brother and his biggest issue was his sisters' attitude. However, a mysterious visitor soon comes to the court. Amenhotep is soon sent away, to be forced into a world in which his perfectly ordered life quickly breaks apart.
Even worse, Amenhotep gets the feeling the perfectly ordered world that made their Empire what it is is breaking down as well. As the plagues ravage the land, Amenhotep soon finds that no one can save them. Neither the powerful and strong army, the knowledgeable priests, nor even the gods Amenhotep had believed were invincible.
With only his Crown Prince brother, a General's daughter, Nefertiti, and a single trusted scribe, he must unravel the mystery of the plagues and discover the true crisis. But just knowing what is happening is not enough. Amenhotep will soon find himself forced to act, even if it means abandoning everything he ever believed in.
