The First Campout

Join in the fun and adventures of the Dragons as they prepare for the 6th grade football championship followed by a victory camping trip on their own - or so they hoped. Follow them as they chase the ever-elusive snipe, pull fish from the stream with their bare hands, learn to deal with wildlife stealing their food and figure out how to cook for themselves. (Who knew Kool-Aid and donuts aren't a major food group)?

Once they become the best campers in the world, followed by the best canoers in the world, they spend a weekend camping with their parents and friends. They quickly find out that even the "best canoers in the world" can end up in the chilly Spring waters in Michigan.

The next weeklong trip reveals how far their skills have developed while learning how to work together as they come across two severely injured canoers on the river. Unable for EMTs to reach them safely, read along as they execute a plan to carefully tow them to a meeting point where they can get the help they so desperately need, all while dealing with the twists and turns of the river's waters as they finish off their "great big adventure".
