The Gift

What If the Simplest Words Ever Spoken Were Also the Most Beautiful?
You've probably noticed how some sentences stay with you for years. A single line, heard once, still comes back on a quiet evening.
The Gift gathers that kind of sentence. Every poem is drawn from the words of Jesus as recorded in the four Gospels, and from nowhere else. No commentary stands between you and what was said. As you turn the pages, you may find yourself slowing down, then pausing, then reading a stanza a second time just because it feels good to.
Inside, you'll discover poems on:
- Humility, and why the last shall be first
- Love, from the neighbor to the enemy
- Prayer, said in secret and heard
-Wisdom, and the house built upon the rock
Blessings,
- Charity and Salvation, as spoken, not explained.
- The Spirit, Obedience and the Commandments!
- The Twelve, and the brother who stood beside them.
Each poem rhymes and moves like a song, so it's as easy to read aloud as to read alone. Each one rests on the verses themselves, so you can trace any line back to its source.
Whether you read a poem a night, share one at the table, or give a copy to someone who needs a gentle word, you'll notice how quickly a few lines can change the quality of a day.
And because you're already imagining that book on your nightstand, with its pages softened by use, there's only one step left. Add The Gift to your cart today, and let these words begin to work on you.
Freely you have received. Freely give!
Makes a wonderful gift!
