The Light Always Moves

Fear doesn't disqualify you from moving.

A generation ago, a very small book about a piece of cheese told us the world moves and we'd better move with it. True, as far as it went. But real people don't fail to change in one way. They fail in six.

Six travelers find a Clearing where a warm, golden Light makes everything easy, until the Light begins to dim. Flicker the fox feels the change before anyone else and can't quite trust the feeling. Bolt the hare runs in every direction at once. Root the bear plants their feet and refuses to leave what they built. Wren, the smallest and most afraid, freezes at every fork. Sage the owl studies the problem so thoroughly the moment to act slips past. Sunny the golden retriever agrees with everyone, and so believes nothing.

Told around a campfire by the one who was most afraid, The Light Always Moves is a short, illustrated fable for teams, leaders, and anyone facing a change they didn't choose. It includes a Discussion Guide for teams, book clubs, and kitchen tables.

You don't have to stop being afraid to begin.
