Remy made a penguin. At least, that was the plan.
The creature on the kitchen table has one wing, a large bottom, and a beak that points at the ceiling. It's not exactly museum material. But when Remy and his friend Tessa set up a tiny museum in the community center alcove, they decide that's exactly the point.
The Museum of Almost celebrates everything that didn't quite work: a crown that slid over a queen's eyes, an airplane that prefers walking, a slipper with an enormous heel - and a welcome machine that works nine times out of ten.
But when the machine fails in front of everyone, Remy learns the bravest exhibit of all is an honest one.
A warm, funny chapter book about mistakes, making things, and keeping track of what matters. For ages 6-8.
