The Mystery of Half Moon Bluff follows the thrilling journey of three sisters thrust into a situation that demands not only quick action but also the ability to perceive history as those who once lived it. Amid raging storms, a tumultuous ocean, secret rooms, hidden caves, and encounters with both benevolent and malevolent spirits, the sisters uncover a cache of money and a trove of long-forgotten secrets. Together, they must unite their strengths to unravel a mystery buried along the celebrated shores of Florida's Atlantic coast.

The Mystery of Half Moon Bluff is set in Northern Florida, where the sisters live with their mother. While on spring break, the sisters get into a real mystery that dates back to the Civil War.

Actual places are used in the book. Big Talbot and Little Talbot Islands are located above Jacksonville Beach, where the sisters begin their mystery trip through time.

Young readers will relate quickly to the banter that occurs between the sisters and their parents. Luckily, the sisters receive a great deal of support from their parents, a park ranger, an archeologist, the military, and an orphanage.

The Mystery of Half Moon Bluff is only the beginning of other adventures that the three sisters will have over the next few years.
