An Amazing and Enjoyable set of two books. The Heroine of this series is a drop-dead gorgeous girl who lives in the Year 2500 AD. After graduation, she is informed that she is the end result of a 400-year experiment, which was designed to breed out the impurities of the human race, in an attempt to find the ancient ancestors from a distant planet. It worked. She became the world's first 100% pure Alien.
To complicate the problem, after school, she is confronted by an old lady on the way home that day, and her mind was going a hundred miles an hour. "Who am I anyway? What will become of me? Will I be able to make any significant changes in the world? Why was I considered the chosen one? What will I do next?"
Soon, a sweet old lady approaches her on a side walkway.
The old lady says, "Young girl, may I have a moment of your time?" Thinking, "Heck, what else can go wrong today? She was also a little curious because this lady was dressed all in white, not silver, like everyone else. Then again, why did she have a full head of white hair? Real hair did not exist in her time, as everyone was bald from birth. At the end of the walkway, this lady turns into a secluded area.
"How do you know my name, and who are you?" The old lady said, "For now, just call me your guardian angel. I have known you for all of your life."
"What?!"
"We don't have much time, so what I'm going to tell you will seem far-fetched, but it's all true," the old lady offers.
"With that out of the way, I have more significant news for you."
Scheherazade, fire's back, asked, "More significant than that? And there's that word again, Mission, again and again."
The old lady replies, "Yes, dear. You, my child, are about to embark on an adventure like no one else in the history of the world has ever enjoyed or ever will. You will get to meet Jesus and educate him, and he'll educate you; and you will meet Mohammad, Buddha, and most of the most powerful and influential men in the history of the world. You will travel among the stars, get married, and have six beautiful children. They will come by way of natural birth, not via a test tube, the way you were brought into this world. You will grow hair again and watch it grow gray as you age, like this." Pointing to her own hair. "You will become the richest woman in the world, build a beautiful new city, and witness hundreds of millions of people being killed in the worst catastrophe of the last ten thousand years. You will enjoy the most beautiful places in the world and eat real food. You are destined to change the entire world, forever. The greatest minds on earth will seek you out for your knowledge. You will be proclaimed an "Angel" by the greatest and the poorest people of this solar system and the universe. You will be responsible for altering the timeline of the world as you now know it! Remember what your professor told you a few minutes ago? They don't know what to do with you now that you are the first pure replica of an alien people. I'm here to tell you it will be great! Don't get a big head about this. Never forget your roots. The ones your mom and dad gave you. Always remember your ability to love and be loved. Like, who are you?" The old lady said with a big smile, "I am you."
"What?"
She hands her a glass with her fingerprints on it. They turned out to be a perfect match.
To add to this confusing day, when she gets home, she asks about her dad's invention, which his family has been working on for three generations. "Dad, will you ever invent time travel?" His answer was quiet and simple: "I already did."
Her excitement went ballistic. "I also built a ship to carry you through time. It will be ready for you on your 18th birthday in two weeks.
Before that happens, she gets kidnapped on a ship heading for deep space.
