Villainy in Violette

Matchmaking can be murder ...

The Bohemia Bartenders are working way too hard for the lazy days of summer. Two of mixologist Pepper Revelle's colleagues are scrambling to launch their beautiful new bar when a peacocky singles wrangler shows up with a big ask: Will they serve up sips for the last stop on his bus bar tour? If they agree to one night of madness-and a flowery purple cocktail-they'll elevate their reputation and make money before they even open.

Pepper and her boyfriend, Neil, lend their bartending skills to the wingding on wheels. But the rolling circus screeches to a halt when a murder mars the evening. With the ringmaster dead and her best friend the prime suspect, Pepper puts petals to the metal to find the truth.

She loves seeing all the friends (and dogs) who've gathered for the bar's pending grand opening-not counting her annoying ex-boyfriend, who's filming the action for his TV show-but she's worried for them, too. As the celebration nears, she finds suspects on too many fronts, and she knows she's hit a nerve when she's offered a date with danger. Can she match a crook to the crime before she's plucked like a posy in a posh liqueur?

Villainy in Violette is the ninth book in the Bohemia Bartenders Mysteries, funny whodunits with a dash of romance set in a convivial collective of cocktail lovers, eccentrics and mixologists. These quasi-cozy culinary comedies contain a hint of heat, a splash of cursing and shots of laughter, served over hand-carved ice.
