Wandering Gender: A Narrative of Hacked Biochemistry is a genre-bending philosophical fantasy novel infused with sharp, satirical humor. It is set in a world where memories reincarnate, bodies are no longer a true home, and desire transcends the boundaries of biology.

Written in Persian by Honeye Hojabrosadati, the story follows Aysa, a woman whose consciousness is abruptly displaced into another woman's body-Ati, a religious housewife with a secret. Trapped between two selves, two timelines, and two irreconcilable belief systems, Aysa begins to unravel the memories of her past lives, the biochemical betrayals of her own body, and the mysterious messages sent by a sarcastic, wish-granting male fly named XiXi.

This story does not serve as an escape from reality; instead, it confronts it.

Set in contemporary Iran under the oppressive shadow of a theocratic regime, the narrative reveals that beneath the veil of clerical control, people still breathe. They fall in love, fear death, and experience dreams, suffering, and resistance-just like individuals everywhere else.
