A dying man who, in his last hours, answered one question honestly. A stranger at evening prayers who said "I will arrange everything," and meant it. An engineer who turned his own overtime shifts into other people's educations.

Riyaz Mohammed wrote this book for his four children, so they would know they were carried. He wrote it for anyone standing in a room with a child, shaping someone without knowing it. And he wrote it for every person who has ever wondered how they really got where they are, and whether the answer they have been giving themselves is the honest one.

We are the accumulated generosity of people who chose to give when they could have kept. This book is one family's attempt to name them.
