Therefore ananalysis about the gaps and findings was performed. The requirements of Business Continuity Plans at SPL are, to enable theorganization to: protect employees, protect fixed and financial assets,protect know-how and image and to ensure trouble-free functioning ofbusiness processes. For achieving these requirements, a BCP methodology for SPL is usedas a frameset, it includes four basic steps: First: understanding the business of the business , thru Business Impact & Risk Analysis.Second: Analyzing the dependencies of the critical processes andresources and selection of a solution which meets the organizationsneeds. Third: Design and development of the Business Continuity Plansand defining the Continuity Teams. Fourth: Implementation of the Plansinto the organization. The performed GAP-Analysis for SPL showed that focus in an efficientimplementation process has to be on the building of awareness of theemployees and the management. People of the organization must beenabled to respond to crisis events in an efficient manner.Communication of the BCP policies is a critical part of theimplementation process.
