The second volume of the "Who Do You Think You Are" cycle steps outside academic walls and traverses territories that the logocentrism of our times has banished from adult conversation: the thousands of clinical cases of near-death experiences gathered by doctors and published in journals like The Lancet, from Pim van Lommel to Sam Parnia; the tradition of thought that, from Allan Kardec to Emanuel Swedenborg to the Cerchio Firenze 77, has produced consistent testimonies for two centuries-testimonies that official culture has dismissed as superstition; and personal experiences-including the author's own-that neurobiological explanations struggle to contain.

This is neither a treatise on parapsychological sciences nor a profession of faith. It is an epistemological inquiry conducted with honesty and without prejudice, posing a single question to the reader: by what right has our culture decided that certain phenomena cannot exist, even before seriously studying them?
