L'objectiu d'aquest text és fer una introducció a la teoria del polinomi de Bernstein-Sato i presentar les idees darrere la demostració [Bla21] d'una conjectura sobre l'estructura de les seves arrels en el cas de singularitats de corbes planes irreductibles. L'anomenada conjectura de Yano, proposada pel matemàtic japonès Tamaki Yano el 1982 [Yan82], estableix que, per a singularitats de corbes planes irreductibles, les arrels del polinomi de Bernstein-Sato es poden determinar completament a partir del tipus topològic de la singularitat, sempre que l'equació de la corba sigui suficientment genèrica.
