Vietnam has always valued poetry, with a vast corpus of poetic works. This book selects representative pieces to introduce, bringing outstanding Vietnamese poets from different eras to Chinese readers and exploring broader, deeper cultural exchanges and influences between the two nations. Like China, Vietnam is a realm of poetry. For centuries, the most significant works in Vietnamese classical and modern literature have largely been composed in verse.

With a long history, Vietnamese poetry has employed three main script systems: Han scripts, Nom scripts, and modern Latin-based scripts. During specific periods, French and English also served as key mediums for poetic creation, resulting in diverse poetic styles.

越南历代重视诗歌，诗歌作品浩如烟海，本书翻译过程中挑选有代表性的作品进行介绍，让历代优秀的越南诗人走入中国读者的视野，探讨两国文化更广泛更深远的交流与影响。与中国一样，越南也是诗歌王国，千百年来，越南古典文学乃至现代文学重要的作品大都是用诗歌写成。
